Making the Decision to Homeschool by Evelyn_Saenz

Is homeschooling right for you and your child?

Making the decision whether or not to homeschool can seem like a daunting task. With all the information bombarding us about teaching, education, learning styles, public school, private school, charter school, preparing your child for college, the perfect pre-school etc. How do you make the right decision?

I can not tell you what will be right for you and your child. Each child and each family is different. What I can tell you is that the answer lies within the eyes of your child and within your heart. No decision is permanent and it is ok to change your mind as you go along. Keep your eyes open, learn about the laws where you live and open your heart to all the possibilities.

Will you make the decision to homeschool?

How to Make 3D Paper Snowflakes - by @capriliz

    Hello Lens Sightings Readers!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for reading Lens Sightings.   May you and yours have a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with Brightest Blessings.

Today's Lens Sighting:  How to Make 3D Paper Snowflakes by capriliz:
This tutorial will help you to not only make beautiful 3D Paper Snowflakes...you could use this information to create a magical holiday memory (or a new tradition) that will be easy and fun to return to year after year.  Make them yourself, with friends, family   to decorate you home, or to sell, donate, bring joy to others.  Give them as gifts, take them to children's hospitals or to nursing homes.  The possibilities are endless.  This lens is absolutely worthy of Lens of The Day and a Special Feature here at Lens Sightings.

    ENJOY!!

The Lens Sighting Special Feature of the Day (and Lens of The Day today at Squidoo)

How to Make 3D Paper Snowflakes

Handmade Christmas ornaments are fun and easy! One of the many handmade ornaments that can easily be created using squares of paper is the three dimensional paper snowflake. More detailed instructions are included below, but basically you fold, cut, roll and tape your paper to create one of the 3D snowflakes. Kids love this craft. And it is fun for all ages. Getting the children involved with decorating for Christmas can help with all that energy they seem to have during the Christmas holidays!

BAH HUMBUG from Scrooge and Grinch

It is Christmas... a joyful time of year.  Carolers singing and bells are ringing and cheer fills the land... but wait!!!  All this cheer got you grumpy?  Do you just want to toss the lights into a pail of water already? :D  I have a solution.  Give yourself a break and discover this lens as I did.  It is sure to put a smile on your face.

Why do we need Scrooge and the Grinch on days like this?

Perhaps we need Scrooge (from A Christmas Carol) and the Grinch (from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas) for those moments when the holiday season is overwhelming and we want to forget about the whole thing?  We can drift off into a world of cynicism and sarcasm, perhaps start to laugh about the whole thing and remember why we are doing this in the first place.  I believe laughter is the best medicine.  I pray we each have a bit more laughter in each day of our lives.

This Lens Sighting, a page lovingly created and posted by crosscreations is my evidence...

BAH HUMBUG from Scrooge and Grinch

    WHY Bah Humbug?

Are YOU a Scrooge? Grinch got ya down? While Santa Claus may be the favorite of the Christmas season, if you look behind him into the holiday shadows, you will see two of the meanest meanies ever to spread negativity about Christmas - Scrooge & Grinch. YOU ever had a Grinch moment during the frenzy of the holiday season? Know a Scrooge who says "Bah Humbug" to traditio

The Gift of Joy - A Gift to Share

I stumbled upon a lens this morning.

The lens was a gift created for Joan Adams by Eva aka WhiteOak50

    Thoughts on Joy
Often Joy can be associated with the Gift of Happiness. They say if you share a smile, you have brought sunshine and joy to someone's face.

The Gift of Joy can be given in many, many ways. A smile, a hug, watching a butterfly, smelling a flower or sitting outside watching the sunrise or the sunset.
