Mittleider organic sustainable garden 2010

About the Food for Everyone Foundation and Mittleider organic gardening

"Over the past five years I have used the Mittleider method of gardening. It has been a blessing financially and from a health standpoint. Over the years I have had the pleasure to get to know Jim Kennard the President of the Non-Profit Food For Everyone Foundation which teaches the Mittleider method.
All the videos are from My Mittleider garden in my backyard. I am having a great time and highly recommend the Mittleider method, I get between 4-7 times the yield of a traditional garden. You will see in the videos below how I created my soil beds and grew vertically."~Steveffeo

Fight Against Domestic Violence Domestic violence and abuse can occur to anybody, yet the crisis is often unnoticed, excused, or even denied. This is particularly true when the abuse is psychological, rather than physical. Emotional abuse is frequently minimized, yet it can leave profound and permanent scars. Noticing and acknowledging the warning signs
 and symptoms
of women abuse and abuse is the first step to ending it.

Imagine a World without Trees At a conference I attended, we had to imagine what would happen if we didn't have enough water. One person said that we take water for granted and need to learn to respect the gift of water. The fact is that we could not live without water and the same could be said for trees. In our interconnected world, what we do to our trees affects our water, other species and us.

Nominee # 4

Linda's Hats for the Homeless Hats for the Homeless and Crochet Angel Lenses. Linda Deal (aka grandma_deal on Squidoo) uses her talents to help homeless keep warmer in the winter. She also sells her creation and uses the funds to help with materials and other expenses that are not donated to her. Have some yarn? Need some fingerless gloves or an amazing gift for someone (or yourself)?

Bepreparedradio by @steveffeo

I may have featured this lens before but it is important to get the word out as much as possible so everyone has access to this preparedness resource from PRN.   Schedule time to learn how you can prepare yourself and your family from unexpected situations.  An emergency can realistically deny you and your home needed utilities and supplies for up to three days (data statistics say an ordinary event ... weather related power outages for example).  You can prepare youself and your family to become as self sufficient as possible for short and long term situations.

Marco Island, Florida by @kphotos

While visiting with Sally Kuyper on Facebook yesterday I realized Sally and I share a few more things in common than we had previously realized.  We had known we were both Squidoo Giants with a love for nature, photography, and literature.  We also express these interests in similar ways (i.e. Squidoo, Zazzle, etc.).  Sally is a successful business woman and mentor.

What we discovered yesterday is we both share the same appreciation of the coastlines (Beach Holidays).  One more thing we share is our birthday :D

Take a virtual Beach Holiday today by visiting Sally's lens about Marco Island Florida.  Make it a Spa Break destination!  Enjoy :D

"Planning a honeymoon or your next vacation? Try Marco Island, Florida, for great sugar sand beaches, water sports, delicious food, and sunny skies. Lots of interesting stores to shop, too. I photographed Marco Island's Welcome sign from our car window."
