Fight Against Domestic Violence Domestic violence and abuse can occur to anybody, yet the crisis is often unnoticed, excused, or even denied. This is particularly true when the abuse is psychological, rather than physical. Emotional abuse is frequently minimized, yet it can leave profound and permanent scars. Noticing and acknowledging the warning signs
 and symptoms
of women abuse and abuse is the first step to ending it.

Imagine a World without Trees At a conference I attended, we had to imagine what would happen if we didn't have enough water. One person said that we take water for granted and need to learn to respect the gift of water. The fact is that we could not live without water and the same could be said for trees. In our interconnected world, what we do to our trees affects our water, other species and us.

Nominee # 4

Linda's Hats for the Homeless Hats for the Homeless and Crochet Angel Lenses. Linda Deal (aka grandma_deal on Squidoo) uses her talents to help homeless keep warmer in the winter. She also sells her creation and uses the funds to help with materials and other expenses that are not donated to her. Have some yarn? Need some fingerless gloves or an amazing gift for someone (or yourself)?
